Wrong Cougar Lake. Since I was brought into the conversation I thought you were talking about the Cougar Lake up by Bumping Lake. (A popular "I saw a wolf!" area close to Yakima.)

I hear it all the time from hunters down here (south cascades) that they have seen/heard wolves. This speaks to the fact many hunters have no clue what a wolf looks like, sounds like, or tracks are.

I trust photos  and even up north they are not as abundant as you people are infering. WDFW sets cameras and does aerial surveys often with no results for the season.

....and yes I've  hunted off  of SR 153  and drove the North Cascade Highway numberous times.  I prefer to hunt up the White River and Chiwawa river drainages with you "Mountain men" ;).

Yeah, cause WDFW would surely let us know about all the pics or other information they have.
exactly..am glad for you and your trust in "all things honest" that you hear and read from our WDFW...I don't believe in what I read, what I am told, or conspiracies.. I believe in what I see with my own eyes, hear with my own ears...some need to get in and spend time in these areas so they can comment with a little more credible authority other then "WDFW" told me so..by the way, heard wolve 2 nights in a row back in early elk..camped a mile below Little Bald, your neck of the woods Cougartail..am probably mistaken, as the coyotes down there have been learning to mimic the howl of their larger cousins! :dunno: :chuckle:

I would still like to know others opinions on the track I found in 124 2 weeks ago. I posted it in the wolf reports section. It looks to bid for a yote to me.

That was me using my new FoxPro Wildfire 2...works pretty well eh?  :chuckle: Now I don't feel so bad coming up and killing your deer since you're down poaching my elk.

I never get my info from the "official" WDFW news sources by the way.

Poaching: "Taking game off another mans territory" . Yes there are more than one definition to a word.

Get over yourself...

I'm guessing English wasn't the strong point of many on here. Do any of you even know the difference between figurative and literal speech?

Back pedalling for what?

Agreed, and thats always the "fall back" excuse for you wolf advocates. It would be nice if we all had 1000mm f/2.8 lenses and 20MP DSLR's attached to our forheads, but we do what we can at the time.

Like I said, I have seen both wolf and coyote in the wild in my time and do know the difference. I didn't take the time to try to get digi pics of some coyotes, I see plenty of those much closer every day that I'm out there, that I can get good pics of with my camera rather than 1/2 mile away with a cell phone. ;)

I don't believe in bigfoot and will never post up a image of one, but there is no doubt these were wolves, regardless whether the images are clear or not.

WOW! Talk about deflection and changing the subject. And yes english is a strong point. You should learn to spell before you make a statement like that.  :chuckle:

Kind of like you should learn the difference between a cougar track and a wolf track. And yes cougars have claws that they often use when walking on slippery substances. Here is a real wolf track.

That's why I asked other's for their opinion, cause I wasn't sure. Don't start whining cause you made yourself look foolish.  :mor:

No hurt feelings here. Your the one who can't read a post correctly and are guilty of your own accusations. Maybe you should enroll in another year at  Tree Hugger U. Go away little boy or girl (whatever you are) your embarrasing yourself.  :chuckle:

Well, in "Turkey School" they obviously don't teach track identification or how to spell "embarrassing". :bash:

The school I went to did teach us how to use one of these and to not be afraid of the "big bad wolf". It was a mens school. Limited entry as you couldn't go. :chuckle:

What is it "wolf expert"? :chuckle:".

Sorry, I misspelled one word. You misspelled three in one post and then had the nerve to tell someone else to learn English. Your to much.  :chuckle: I'm done. Good luck with your deflection and denial tactics.
