Tail is kind of tucked in on that pic. I did not get a picture of the belly. It was a little spotty. Taxidermist said it was typical for westside cats to be less spotty/ more red.

If it is at the taxi then it has already been seen and sealed by WDFW, so it is a bobcat...,,but then again they say every wolf pic is a coyote.. :chuckle:
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Man at first glance that looked like a lynx.  I've never seen either in real life Though.  I'm not confident I could positively I.D. one.  Great job OP!  Gotta love making things happen with sentiment.

Nice cat congrats  ;)

What kind of work are you having done at the taxi, besides stitching   :chuckle:

Good luck finding a taxi anywhere that stocks lynx mounting forms.  Probably have to just shop online.  Nice cat though.

Sure looks like a bobby to me!

Congratulations on a unique cat.  Should make a great mount.  I need to get out and try to find another pumpkin cat.  I find that color my favorite by far.

Nice cat. We see a lot of orange/brown, reddish/orange bobs in our neighborhood. The spotting is more vague on the top side and more prevalent on the legs and the belly. I always thought that was quite common on the westside :dunno:

Nice cat man! That's awesome. If you're looking for an idea on how to mount it. This is how I got mine done, and it seems to get a lot of compliments. I also love the way it turned out.

The pumpkins are very common on the west side.  I tried for a good number of years to get a grey westside cat.  I have seen a few lynx with that color variation, but their undercoat is much lighter in color than that of a bobby.
