I am not just being theatrical either. Where I normally see hundred to thousands of deer on the winterrange I counted 8 the other day. And...the snow doesn't lie. There are no tracks. I've yet to photgraph a buck in the unit since it has snowed. you just gotta love the sounds of that. my hunting buddies parents-in-law live right on the methow river and they have seen 3 wolves this winter already. 2 of which were less then a mile from thier house. usually they have 30-60 deer a night coming in and out of thier yard (with about 10 achers) and this winter has been nonexistant to say the least. to bad too. a few years back i use to hunt a small patch of public land across the highway from thier house and would see 100+ deer a day. alot of smaller 2pts and spikes and the occasional 3pt or 4pt. then i took one trip up there the season they had that big fires and nothing. and now the wolves take over. LOVE IT!!!
