Hope something happens soon. I haven't even seen a single doe this year. And I have a doe tag. Running out of time. 6 hours watching cuts and classing today so far.

I have 2 canyons I hunt.....one canyon there's bucks every time I go there and the other has tons of does and not the bucks I usually see...but I've seen well over 150 deer and 11 bucks....lots of repeat deer but I'm seeing them all the time

Need a hunting partner?   :chuckle:  My luck has been pretty bad this year, only have seen a few does and one tiny spike   :bash:  Guess I need some new areas  :dunno:

Scouting guys...lots of it....its taken me 10 yrs to figure these deer out....glass glass glass...most people over look a lot of deer in cuts...I've found deer more times than I can count in cuts guys just left. Patience watching the 4-5 yr old cuts does wonders

I've got bt's down pretty good in my neck of the woods. Been noticing a few smaller bucks sniffing around but the mature/dominant bucks aren't there yet. I'm hoping within the next week I have camera pics if some nice bucks.

Today no fog, 2 nice bucks again this time 554 yards at dawn and started chasing a doe around by 8:30. By the end of today 4 bucks 5 does. We are only about 1000' up. Going to our normal rut area at  about 3900' the deer are a lot closer, most of the time.

Rattled up a BIG 2X3 that came in hot and all swollen up but the daughter decided to pass.   :dunno:  She wants something bigger.  She is too much like her Dad.  I think that I have created a hunting monster!  :chuckle:

Unimpressed...... You should be at 6000' hunting the high country blacktail..... Even if you do have work, thats no excuse :chuckle:

I have also had good luck with the Pimos "can"
While I rattle my daughter works the "can" and the grunt tube.  Sometimes she does the rattling.  She has had a set of rattling antlers and has known how to use them since she was 2 years old.  Sunday, I might just sit back and spot for her while she does all of her own calling.
