Photoshop lessons
« on: November 01, 2008, 08:44:38 PM »
I get tons of requests to fix photos, which I enjoy doing.  I also get a lot of requests and comments that people want to get a lesson on photoshop or fixing photos in general.  I use to teach beginning photoshop.  While I am by no means an expert, I know how to work the program pretty well.  I had an idea today to have a little get together to show people how to fix photos and learn photoshop.  I could have 3-5 people over at my house and would set up my 50" tv as a second monitor that people could watch while we go through photos.  (or maybe someone has a 30-40" lcd screen they could bring over?)  People could bring photos to work on and we could go over a general curriculum for the evening.  I would even be willing to BBQ moose burgers.  However, this will cost all that attend dearly in the form of refreshing beverages.  (Fosters 25oz preferred)  If anyone is interested let's figure out a night that works.  I know Huntnphool is in and probably M_ray.  Anyone else?  A weekday might even work if people live fairly close.  I just have a small house in Bellevue, nothing fancy but I'm not sure more than 5 guys would be comfortable.  Let me know if there is interest and what day we can do.  A Wednesday works for me or a Friday.  However, weekends may be tough as many of us are hunting and it's hunting seasons.  Worst case scenario, we may have to wait until hunting seasons are over in January.  We also haven't gotten to NW Trek for a day trip/shoot yet due to busy seasons and schedules.

VB?
  :dunno:

Victoria Bitter.

Victoria Bitter
Australia's favourite full strength beer, Victoria Bitter or VB as it's fondly known, has a tradition of rewarding hard work and hard play, dating back to the 1890s. Over the last 10 years, it's been a consistent winner in the esteemed Australian Liquor Industry Awards (ALIA), more recently picking up "Best Full Strength Beer" in 2001, "Tap Beer of the Year" in 2002, and "Best Full Strength Beer" again in 2003.

VB is a full flavoured brew, less malty in character and slightly darker than CUB's traditional lagers. A gentle fruitiness in the aroma complements the sweet malt on the mid-palate balancing perfectly with a robust, hop bitterness.

Style: full strength bitter lager
Alcohol: 4.8%

One more spot gone Shawn, Tammy said she would get a sitter and go, said she wouldn't miss this opportunity. It will be interesting to see her reaction of your moose mount :chuckle: she has been asking probing questions whether or not I'm going to have mine down, assuming I get a bull :dunno:

Latest update...

Elkman
Huntnphool
Mrs. Huntnphool (aka, Tammy)
M_ray
?

2 more spots open.  For those interested, this won't be just about Photoshop.  Many of the photo programs have the same features and the principals will apply to any editing program.  We will talk about raw, raw conversion, fixing of jpg images from point and shoots, and the "recipe" I use to edit photos.  We can also talk photography or any other topic those of you want to bring up.
