Idaho whitetails any luck?

 Anyone heard or shot anything "whitetail" in idaho? when does the Rut start there?

Heading over on the 6th, its about a week early but we still usually get some decent bucks, just have to be more patient and look a little bit harder.
Thinking about using some doe estrus scent, we never have used any kind of scent attractant before, thoughts  :dunno:

Honestly I usually laugh at those things.  I suppose they have their use, but not in my style of hunting.  I'd rather put that money into something more meaningful.

I drink it and then pee in buck scrapes...  Nothin' works better...   :tup:

we are heading over on the 3rd for 8 days hoping to get a buck or 2 with the weather changing they could be on the  :IBCOOL:move.

This is the buck i killed in idaho last year.  149" 5x5 killed november 25th 2012.
Doe pee, and rattle bag came trotting with his nose to the ground.
My good friend did a super job mounting it.  Thanks Tad!

where will most be hunting i will be up around coeur d'alene area not sure how the deer heard is doing up there but looking for a nice buck. ive heard theres lots of timber how should one hunt whitetails there?

if  your not using scents on scrapes or mock scrapes your missing out or limiting yourself. They work! maybe certain scents dont, but there is some quality stuff out there
