..........even in Oregon ? I was told by Idaho F&G you don't need a trapping license to kill them. So I was wondering if you could shoot them in Oregon too.

Look on page 4

http://www.dfw.state.or.us/resources/hunting/small_game/regulations/docs/Furbearer_Regulations.pdf

Like a lot of regulations, its not always easy to understand but on page 7 it states the badger is an unprotected mammal.  So no season or bag limit, you just need a hunting license to shoot them in Oregon.  Of course, if you want to trap one, you need a trapper's license.
I called that badger with a single squeal on a predator call.  My intention was to try and stop him for a photograph but once I called, he came across a hayfield like he was on a string.  He came within about thirty feet and Brute and I weren't exactly camouflaged, we were sitting in my Ford Explorer!  I swear he would have run under the rig except that, just as he came up to the shoulder of the highway, a couple trucks roared past and turned him.  Dude was hungry!

That's what I got from reading the regs link that I could shoot them. Was it down near Burns/Hines area ? I'm going through there March 6th and coming back through on the 11th. I go highway 95 and always stay in Burns. I'd love to shot one and some coyotes while on vacation.
