Ricochet, That black or chocolate brown doe is awesome. I've seen piebalds and an albino buck but that thing is once in a lifetime. Beautiful.

For most people the melanistic deer would be extremely rare, even more rare than albinos, but the gene pool along the Blitzen river produces them with some regularity.  Since 2004 I've had multiple encounters with at least four different black deer, including a black doe with a black fawn.  Very cool to see.
