Hunting Kennels in the Spokane Area?
« on: November 07, 2008, 10:05:44 AM »
So I decided that the next addition to the family is gonna be a yellow lab female most likely, probably in a little while though but I thought i'd ask some questions now just to prepare.

Anyone recommend any hunting kennels with good lab lineage around the spokane area?

What is everyone's thoughts on getting a dog fixed, does it kill their drive?  If heard yes and no, wanted to get your guy's opinion.

Thanks,

Ellsworth

That's why it's called hunting and not killing.

I can't advise on a good lab kennel, but there are a lot of really good labs in the area. mine came from zillah, did not have anything most dog guys would drool over in his pedigree, but my lab put pheasants from public land on the last day of the season in my bag year after year......it just takes work.

as for fixing. m/f? I had my female draht fixed and she is no different. my male, he never acted any different in the field. I did however, wait till he was 9 to lop off the fellas. I wanted to let him take em' to his grave, my wife said testicular cancer now or loose the twins...............sorry buck :'(
