« on: October 26, 2013, 09:28:32 PM »
hunted for five days hard  trying to get my son a bull in naches no luck hunted area before but we could not find  any good bulls . We are trying to get back next weekend if anyone could help it would be great I can offer a good turkey or whitetail hunt in ferry county in return. I have followed this hunting forum for the last three years. Think this is a great place to meet a new friend I am not much of a computer guy so haven't been willing to  post anything.

Just got back from crow basin,There seamed to be plenty of elk in the wilderness,It took me four days to tag 6x6,If enough snow should fall this week maybe they'll move.Oh by the way they were bugling in the dark timber until noon.

Bulls in there right now are hard to hunt. The arent coming out until almost dark and bedding before the sun comes up. I had a buddy that had that tag this year and he ended up shooting a spike on friday. They hunted all week and only saw one rag horn and a bigger bull for a split second just before dark and never saw them again.  We talked to a few people up there with a bull tag and they were seeing the same thing. With the general season open now you should have a little more luck as people will be pushing the elk around a lot more.  Good luck

Hey don't tell anyone :chuckle:. Oh well. I didn't draw a tag anyway. Had a camera up there and had 1400 pics since august.

I had a coworker draw that tag for muzzy he did a group permit so his buddie got one to but they scouted early and saw some dandy big bulls when season started they didn't see any of the big ones they spent the whole season up in peaches ridge the coworker ended up taking a lil nice 5x5 and his buddie took a spike on last day but other campers said that my coworkers 5x5 was the biggest they saw killed during muzzy.coworker said while he was there at camp and it started snowing and raining that the elk went to quite mode and wasn't talking much he spot and stalked his 5x5
