Well, from one gramps to another: ain't it exciting? I wish I could give you some positive advice, but Mr. Black Bear isn't that predictable. I have seen Big bear tracks in the snow in the Pacific Northwest. The only advice I can give is to put time in the woods, sooner or later your time will pay off. Taking a black bear will take all the skill it takes to take an old buck. The bear's nose is as good as a Whitetails. Looking forward to your bear story.
