This years big guy
« on: November 02, 2008, 02:25:13 PM »
Hello all.

This was my bigger of the two from this year.  He stretched 78 inches nose to base of tail  Dont know the skull yet but the guy cleaning it says its definately book.

I shot this one with my bow, ranged him at 52 yards.  Only shot he offered was straight on, he was sitting and facing me.  I put the arrow through the opening, into his neck which went through and nabbed his jugular(spelling) passing through into his lungs. he didn't go but 2 steps and dropped.  Killer moan at the end of a killer stalk and bow hunt.  Hes now pepperoni :o)

We put him on a 350 pound scale but it topped out with his head on the floor still.  Sorry for the pic, its off my cell.  I'm 5'9 and 200 lbs for reference.

Hes not my biggest bear, but biggest in WA.
