3 Outta 4 so far.......
« on: October 28, 2013, 05:41:55 PM »
So me and my hunting partners are 3 for 4 so far this year, with me being the only one left with a deer tag in my pocket. I figured maybe I'll let somebody else get one. 1st pic is of my son's youth hunt spike, his first deer. Then I got my friend Dan that finally got a buck after about a 15-16 year dry spell !! 3x3, last Friday afternoon. Then on Saturday morning I put Dan's son on a big clear cut, and told him to just be patient. So I go on my hike and about 08:30, I'm just getting to where I want to sit for awhile, and I hear a big BOOM, and then I can hear the kid yelling his head off. He smoked a 3x2 bruiser with 2 broken tines on the 3 point side :bash:. He made about a 250-275 yard uphill shot on this pig. Hopeful that I can make it 4 for 4, but if not, it's still been a great year. The older I am getting, the less it matters to me if I get a buck, as long as I am helping somebody else get theirs!! :chuckle:

If we were supposed to be vegetarian God would have made broccoli more fun to shoot!
"HOYT" why would you even consider shooting something else?
