I was confessing to Jackelope the other day how I was contemplating getting one of these trailcameras as There is a spot I always see a big buck and thought it would be cool to catch what goes through.  I get there and there is a two inch thick, 6 foot tall tree totally obliterated and snapped off.   Right where I would have pointed the camera.   This rub was over the hill 100 feet and appeared the next day.  Man I hope I catch this buck

Love looking at your work ............ I'm green with envy .......... but still really enjoy your photos.
What camera do you use?  I keep trying to convince myself I need a better camera, but I'm pretty sure I'm the problem.

Things have stalled out.   The Mrs is really sick and I have spent the last three days at home taking care of her.  I didn't feel right leaving for the woods this morning.  Hopefully she starts getting better soon, this is killing me, especially with the weather we had yesterday. Fingers crossed I don't get this bug.  Here is to immunity.

I am shooting with a Canon 7D and my 40D still.

You probably would have been with me a couple days this year Jackelope if you didn't have that late tag burning a hole in your pocket.

I finally made it back out into the woods.   I was pretty nervous at first.  I wasn't seeing a dang thing.  I mean NOTHING.  I finally saw my first doe and a buck at 1000am.   Then it started picking up.   The last three hours of daylight were amazing.  It was like someone opened the  cellar door.   Deer were everywhere and they were all actively feeding.  I figured a storm must be coming in.  Even the bucks were busy feeding.  I filmed two calendar bucks and a legend returned, and saw a monster that I wasn't able to get close enough for any quality shots, but I did film him.  Here is the count for the day.  For the record, I am not counting any field deer, these are out in the boonies.  A guy could pad his count pretty fast sitting next to a couple fields.
