If I had the tag to burn, it would have been on this guy.  The closest I got was about 350 yards.   More on him later

That's kinda out'a bow range, isn't it?

Havent you watched those movies where the elf shoots the orc in the eye a 1000 yards away. :chuckle:

I would have only had once chance at him, he bedded on the other side of a little knob, I could have possibly got on him by coming over it, though he was with about 8 doe and that can be tricky in that dang 8 foot sage.  I didn't want to push him to his death, as there were tag holders everywhere.   I figured he can just live out his life in hiding.  I tried the next afternoon after spotting him, and I couldn't get within 500 yards of him.   He'd been shot at before.

He was from a different area than were you were(pg9), but this buck was from your area.  I pm'd you where.  I thought yours was wider.  I need to go pull a head on shot.  I'm sure I got one.   Seems like his eyeguards might be a bit different.
