MY DAUGHTERS FIRST BUCK
« on: October 29, 2013, 03:08:12 PM »
it was one of those days saturday where you could feel that someone was gonna get somethn, my daughter made a nice off hand 40 yrd shot on her first deer, up until this point the only thing she has killed was a grouse. I couldnt be more proud of her, she hasnt spent to much time in the woods but picked it right up, i can tell by the way she walks through the woods and how she pays attention that she is gonna be a good one, she is still holding true to never shooting a "MAMA DEER OR A MAMA ELK" which is fine with me, as you can see from her smile she has NO problem puttn the smack down on the male gender of that species!!!! she was even more thrilled to tell her older brother that her first buck was bigger than his. The look on fatmans face was priceless when his little sister showed up with her first deer. he can say what he wants but he sure seemed to be pretty dang proud of his baby sister....

will do man.... kellen missed a huge 2pt yesterday about 3:30 at about 30 yrds, it was tough man, he had a perfect rest, the buck was standing broadside and he flat missed, it even offered up a 2nd shot but he was so worked up that he couldnt rack another round and make the shot, he figured out what the OH CRAP FACTOR WAS,  :chuckle: oh well it would have been nice to have 2 first time hunters get their first deer, 1 for 2 on blacktails aint bad and there is still late buck. i think i get more jacked up watchn kids huntn and getting their deer, than i do when i get one. i still get so excited when i am the one with a buck in my sights, but not like when a youngster is getting ready for a shot.... i wish i could bottle that feeling up and sell it, i would be a rich man...

Congrats on the first deer for the little lady.  My daughter was the same way with the face paint, hesitant at first then had to MAKE her take it off later!
