Caught all these in 4 nights with 2 traps. Baited with almond slivers. Under my BBQ grill. At least it was before they made entry into the house

I think you have a problem...or had one anyways. nice job! Two weeks ago we cleaned out about a dozen in a week or so, from the basement.
I've got to rig up one (or five) of those bucket traps. I always toss them out the back into the bushes, I wonder if the coons eat them or I would find 8 years worth of mouse skulls out there.
You sure check your traps a lot to get all of those out of two of them. What kind do you use? We've had the best luck with these (D-con) and a little peanut butter in the cup, seems to last for weeks.

Loki I am using the old Victor snap traps.
It is just outside the back door so I check it before I go to bed and first thing in the morning. Never caught one during the daylight, but once it got dark they would start moving. I may get some other product that I don't have to re-bait all the time, or make one of the bucket models.
Rounded out the Bakers Dozen this morning

We've had the little buggers run across the floor while we are sitting in the living room.
I've never had very good luck with the Victor's since the mice seem to be able to come in from the side. These D-con ones have a bait cup and with the little tunnel they are rarely snapped without a carcass.
Keep up the good work.

Yea I'm gonna get something different, but was in need and these seemed to work pretty well. I have them set where it is difficult to get at from the side, but will have a bait stealer once in awhile.
Reminds me of my muskrat trapping days. I'm actually having a good time with this.
If I get around to skinning/tanning them I'll post pics.
Hey don't laugh.......I have done it. They make great birthday card stuffers
Just ask my sister.

Well I'm up to 18 of these little rascals from under my built in grill. Maybe could have had a few more, but the traps were tripped, or in some cases the bait was gone without tripping.
Geesh........How many can be in one colony?
Sorry Loki.......I haven't had time to skin any of them....YET!!

Keep up the good work. Someday, someone will be back in the salmon berry bushes and come across a scattered pile of mouse skulls and think it's something like an Indiana Jones site of the mouse world.
