Good looking cat! What's with all the smoke in the video?

Ya probly should have waited til after the smokes got put out before making the video.

Oh the camera guy had a cig? I thought there was a fire somewhere, was totally confused. How much did that cat weigh?

My first marten! This guy had been tripping one of my new bobcat traps everyday for a week so I moved in a smaller trap and caught this dude overnight!

That last photo is why trapping in WA sucks.  But better to cage trap than not trap at all.  Congrats on the Marten!!

Here's a better pic of that marten now that it's all dried out.

What size trap did you get that marten in?

The trap was a 5"x5"x16" single door. Just set it right next to the cat trap and baited it with canned salmon and the very next morning there he was.

So today I caught my first civet cat in a coon sized cage trap. Let me tell ya there's definetly a learning curve to be had in that department. But my buddy his dog and I walked away unscaved and didn't have to shoot it either I will put up a pic when it dries out a bit.
