Side note, 87 ford you get any fish on those jigs?

Not yet..  My new pup had me tied down a bit this summer.  I did get out a couple times though armed with your jigs, but nothing..  I only lost one jig so I'm still well supplied for next summer and I'll likely give them a try this winter too.  I did finally catch a springer on a float last spring, but I was fishing shrimp.

Hey Antlershed,

Give Don at Dons Custom Rods a call.  He lives in Tacoma and is one of the most honest guys you could ever work with.  He also builds beautiful rods and is a master at what he does.  You will not be disappointed and he builds mostly Batson blanks

I've wrapped a few rods, turned some handles too, doesn't take that long.  I would think the amount if time spent dropping off the rod and picking it up you could wrap it yourself.  Make sure to follow the directions / temperature on the epoxy.  I want to build a float rod on a rainshadow blank as well.  Maybe on a free day this winter when the rivers are blown.
