A little snow today and temps are a little colder so hopefully this will help kick things into gear.

I checked some of my cams yesterday. found a couple fresh rubs and one scrape just starting. All of my mature deer are still in their nighttime patterns but hopefully that will change soon. I also hunt in Michigan and my dad had bucks bumping does and grunting, he said its just starting out there but no full blown chasing yet. I am going back to michigan this week and will be hunting for 12 days so i hope it turns on out there and waits for me to get back here for late archery.

Oh yeah!!

That buck is a horse.

No kidding, I bet that rack, that looks average, would score pretty well due to the fact that it is dwarfed by the moosetail.

That buck is a horse.

Tommy H,

I have a picture from last year that looks a lot like your buck. I don't think they are the same but dang close. I suppose he could have declined form last year....?

THey really started rubbing yesterday.  They are tearing up the woods.  Still almost 100% nocturnal. Probably start seeing them in about a week.

I had 96 daylight photos over 4 days, about the same for the nighttime photos.
