Hunting in GMU 127 - 142?
« on: November 04, 2013, 09:16:26 AM »
I need some direction on public and or private land with permission to hunt on in the 127-142 GMU areas.
I got drawn for a Whitetail hunt in the Palouse areas...but I've never hunted these before.

If anyone has any guidance...it is greatly appreciated!  Sprague, Davenport, Cheney or Harrinton areas
would be ideal...If got to go to Spokane anyway to help my son,...deliver furnature to his new place.
Any help would be great!
Kind Regards,
Randy

I usually find out where I can hunt before I put in for a tag. Good luck.

Nice first post! Good luck on your hunt. Hopefully you get a chance to scout it before it opens. Should be a good hunt!

You can purchase public land maps for fairly cheap. Once you have those look at the areas in google maps/earth to ensure it is good deer habitat. If it is good deer habitat the deer will be there.

Doesn't it say in the regs that it is mostly all private?

States in regs mostly private. Why apply for a hunt if not willing to put work in scouting. I hate to be critical but hurts chances for others who have permission and have put work in. I wish you luck but very little public land in these areas.
