Wipers on a 2001 F150
« on: November 04, 2013, 05:12:27 PM »
I have a 01 f150 with the 4.6l and Saturday the wipers and wiper fluid went out. I have checked the fuses and the #11 fuse was blown. I replaced it and it blew again. From my research online it sounds like it could be a few things. The ground wire could be lose or corroded, the relay could be bad, or the actual switch on the column could be bad. I have read that that the ground wire is on the driverside inner fender but cant seem to locate it or find a picture of where it actually is. As far as the other two how would I go about checking them rather than just throwing parts at it. Thanks for the help in advance. I would really like to get this thing fixed soon before the rain really starts hitting.

A bad ground won't blow a fuse--you have a short in the "hot" wiring somewhere.
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"
