Firestone destination AT

So my heavy chevy is about ready for some new bags . Have any of you tried the destination at's ? looking for a good snow and ice tire that's pretty tough. lt 275 70 17

I havent used them in snow and ice but i will say that durig deer season i got into just a little mud (really not that much or bad of mud) and they freakking sucked!! I had absolutely no traction

I just bought the Bridgestone Dueler At revo 2's and WOW!!! Absolutely amazing

looked at the today at Firestone wasn't impressed by the looks of them.

the bridgestones are about $200 per tire in 285 75 17 that might be a good fit .

I've had both.  The Firestones were very ho-hum.  The Bridgestones are very good on snow and ice, and not bad in mud. 

No brainer decision IMHO.

I bet those are 4 ply tires. Stay away from 4 ply. Get at least 8-10ply. Those are very spendy. We have quite a few guys coming over here hunting from the westside and some are at Les Schwabs getting there 4 plies fixed because of rocks.

I have some Firestone 245x70x17 load range E 10 ply I'll sell you. Straight highway tire though. I think they're the Transporter ones for $400 you come on get 'em.

so the new duelers At's made there first trip , I went with the 10plys . road nice on the hwy. the off roading I got was complete gumbo and don't think anything but a huge mud lug would have worked. so far so good . thanks guys .
