They are giving out 40 archery permits for a 5 day hunt august 30-sept 3 and 25 permits rifle any bull october 29-nov 2. The rifle hunt would be fantastic but there will only 1 non-resident tag. I wouldn't spend the points for a 5 day archery hunt, especially non-rut.

yeah kinda got screwed on the archery thing. oh well. they're still averaging like 350 class bulls.

The top end we saw was in the 350 class. The last couple of years the success has dropped off, in 06 it was 10%. My hunting partner ended up eating his tag. The cougar was a bonus to an unsuccessful elk hunt. Saw some toad bucks!

I've got 10 Oregon points. Drew the Exp. forest for archery the first time they had a hunt there in 97 I believe. Are the regs out now? I'm torn on where to put in.
