Wolves outnumber hunters over here now so I wouldn't bother going east of the PCT there's no game left. That rumor was going around here about 5 yrs ago. B.S. if you ask me, I'm not a fan of how the tribe manages game around here but I know that they wouldn't even do something as dumb as thisQuote from: rosscrazyelk on November 04, 2013, 07:18:26 PMExcuse me if this has been on here but I really dont want to go looking . Was talking to my buddy today about his elk hunt over in the cowichee.. he said he struck up a conversation with a land owner that said the yakima tribe and the state worked together to release a few breeding pair of wolves. Where I do not know? does anyone on here? Also he said that out of all those wolves aparently there are only 9 left. I find that funny

Well I would think that it would be releasing of wolves that were live trapped then collared and released. As it is against the wolf introduction for the WDFW to actually release them. They were suppose to self populate kind of like go West little wolf.

The tribe is monitoring a pack somewhere on Satus. A member on here and friend of mine is part of it. He can speak up to what he knows if he wants. It might effect his job, so he might not. The last time I talked to him about it was this spring. As for other wolves in the area, I have tracked them in the Nile, if I remember correctly, three of them I figured. I have also seen tracks in the Manastash (singles)
I know, and they are doing so much damage. Hopefully they like horsemeat more than antelope.
