Redfield Rampage spotting scope
« on: November 05, 2013, 08:39:54 PM »
I have been thinking about getting and new spotting scope and found a Redfeild Rampage on sale at cabelas for $200. Any of you have have any experience with them or know of any other decent spotters in the $200-$300 range? Thanks

They are good scopes under ideal conditions. The low light and high magnification settings won't be as clear but they are a good scope for starting out if that's all you can afford. They also have a great warranty by Leopold.

There's a Minox spotter for sale by fair-chase that will probably be a better scope for the money. It doesn't look like he's sold it yet. I'd jump on that one if I didn't have a spotter already.

If you watch the Bi-mart ads, the Redfield scope goes on sale once in a while for $169.00. for the price it's not a bad scope, it's not a Swarovski but it doesn't cost thousands of dollars either.

I have one and works well, it could be better on the top end for clarity but its not bad.  I have the 80mm and it's heavy for the crappy tripod they come with and I ordered a new tri-pod.
