I'll check here in spokane at the white elephant. I have picked them up there before. How many are you looking for?

Just picked up 75 rounds off another forum.  I should be good to go for awhile.

Thanks everyone for the help.

Not sure yet.  Reason is I just purchased a 7x57 Mauser that I couldn't resist.  Being shipped at the moment.  So now I'm trying to get components to reload for it.  Currently have Ramshot Hunter and Magnum on hand as well as Hodgdon Varget.  Just found some Barnes TTSX in 140 gr and some Barnes TSX in 168 gr.

Quad...do you shoot a 7x57...any recommendations?

Here's the hideous 7x57 that has led to all this nonsense ..........   :chuckle:

I don't have it off the top of my head. I'll try to remember to look it up tonight.
Sweet shooting gun. I traded Jackelope a .223 for it. Ruger MKII.
Was supposed to be my sons gun, but I kinda took it over.

Depends on the barrel twist, you may have issues with the 168gr.  I have a 1-10 twist on mine and it does not like bullet more than 160gr.  Are you sure about the 168gr TSX?  My Barnes book #4 does not show the 168gr

What are you going to do?

Well me, I do not have any guns, gave away or sold them 15 years ago.

What I found to work the best in my rifle is the Nosler Balistic Tip 140 & 150 gr and IMR 4064

Been shooting a 7x57 since 1976 when I bought my first ruger in that cal. IMR 4350 and 4831 work best for me with IMR 4064 for the lighter bullets under 100gr. Been using the Barnes TS 120gr and they work great Killed a bear and a bunch of deer with them. I have an old Bob Hagle book and he loads the 7x57 to the hilt. I use his loads with no problems in a morden gun.

This almost sounded like someone was channeling for me.   I understand why once I realized I knew the poster.   I too have a Bob Hagel book and believe I either got it from Bwana Bob or found it after he referred it to me.  I also deer hunt with a 7mm Mauser and have shot close to 40 critters of the deer and antelope persuasion.   My load is a Bob Hagel load with IMR 4350, Winchester brass and a 140 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip.   It chronographs 2985 fps out of a 22 inch barrel, a very efficient load.

I switched from a .264 Win Mag to a 7mm Mauser once I finally believed what the chronograph was telling me.  The factory ballistics for a 140 grain out of a .264 Mag called for 3030 fps.

I'm always on the look out for new Winchester 7mm Mauser brass if anyone spots it.
