No deer yet. Saw a buck today that maybe I should have shot but didn't. Back at it tomorrow. Here's a picture.

I came home late last night skunked. I had my opportunity but botched it. Saw a couple nice bucks and had an opportunity at my "last day" buck and missed a chip shot. 146 and 160 yards broadside. I knew something had to be up so I headed out to shoot a target.  I didn't realize it at the time but I  Put one of those butler creek scope covers on last week and there's not enough clearance between the scope and barrel. It Lifted the scope up a tiny little bit and i Didn't notice. I went to my inlaws to shoot my rifle to see what was up and that's where I realized what happened. Took it off, and I was shooting darts again. Oh well live and learn. Bunk deal but it is what it is. I'm just glad it wasn't a monster that I blew it on. I never saw a "big" buck like my goal of 130" but I did see a bunch of deer and had a good time with a couple friends who were nice enough to come help out.  I heard some shooting yesterday morning down where I think "WDFW Hates Me" was hunting. I'm hoping he'll have a better report than me. I'm sorry I didn't take a lot of pictures but here's a few. These whitetails are hard core down there with the country they live in. Not like the whitetails that live in the farm country.

Sorry for the crummy end report. I had to come back to work early and won't be able to go back so tag soup for me.
Thanks to everyone who sent advice, offers to help, etc. It's very much appreciated. Soecial thanks to Todd_ID and BG Hunter for coming up to help. We had fun and saw tons of wildlife. I love that country down there and i hope those of you who live there know how fortunate you are.

The buck I missed yesterday was rutted up and chasing a doe when I first saw him.  Your brother will do well I'm sure.
