I just discovered the Memorials section today and found there was more about FishSeeker and family.   It's sad when a member of a fishing and hunting community passes before his time.  I've met Phish, FishSeeker (John) and Elk4Me, Kathy and more family members I don't remember the names of.   I shared in their family activities by reading Phish's (Randy) posts on the various board we participated in.   It's truly a shame about FishSeeker and I hope he's found the land where elk are next to the road and the fish are always biting.

Was talking with Travis and Cathy last Saturday after they attended a meeting regarding the recipient of Johns cornea. I have to say that has been one of the happiest times I've seen Cathy in a long time since 1st meeting them.

He definitely liked to tell stories. He got that from our dad. Most of my dads stories would put you to sleep though before he got to the point. :chuckle: It is going to be different on the mountain this year without him. Ken, he had nothing but good things to say about you and the same is true about you Jason and your wife.

Good for him to donate; a giving man even in death. Very honorable. RIP John. Maybe you guys can set up a chair for him around the fire this season. I'm sorry for you all over this.

A part of John will be going over with me to elk camp this year and I will be spreading some of his ashes at his last hunting stand. This is the spot that an old man that we met years ago has his ashes spread also. John spent time talking to him over the years and the old man kind of let us in on that spot due to John and the rest of us showing our respect for his area. We never shot one our from under him although I think he waited more than once to let one of our group shoot one. That was the kind of man he was and John was also. I can't think of a better place on that mountain to spread his ashes. He was so proud of being able to make it to that spot as sick as he was.
