Ole' Blacktail

Things are finally slowing down enough to post the result of my multi-season tag.  For at least the last 5 years, I have been looking very hard for an older age class blacktail; including 3 years in a row of multi season tags and a trip to Northern California in my quest.  I’m sure he won’t score well but I could care a less he is just what I have been after.

That's a great blacktail, I have two Pope and Young bucks after 30 years of bow hunting and 20 plus years of gun hunting. I killed most of my bucks in Mendocino county Calif., one of the best areas in the country.  I would like to know which county you hunted.

There is nothing cooler than finding the old buck of the woods, he has survived many hunting seasons and may be past his prime, but you know he was the king at one point.
