Ever shot one?
« on: April 29, 2009, 02:15:31 PM »
Have you ever shot the APA Viper?  :dunno: I shot one last year and had to have it  !!! It was the first time I ever shot a bow that I liked more than my Mathews XT, I love Mathews bows but the APA was flat out impressive. (For me anyway.) Has anyone else shot an APA and what did you think?

Not a bunch of those out there, what shop were you able to shoot it? They've been putting out some impressive speeds for awhile now, they seem to be a sleeper type bow company.
Shut up and Hunt!

Yes you can shoot and get one at Three Rivers Archery in Longview WA.
They also have the Techno Hunt that is a kick in the a$$ to shoot. The APA Viper was the first bow I ever shot that made me want to put down my XT and I've shot allot of differant bows. I loved my XT but the APA had a smoother draw, faster, just as quiet, if not a tad quieter and just a flat out awesome bow. You can contacted Three Rivers Archery for more info at # 360-636-2595  It will be worth the drive to check them out.

Never heard of it until you asked. Went and looked them up. It seems they put a lot of thought into designing their bow. Kind of seems like it would be a pain in the a** to have it serviced some where though since not many dealers are carrying them.

I shot one down at 3 rivers also, man I couldn't agree more...then I went and bought the Hoyt Alphamax 35 and even though I love the AM35 I think I probably made a mistake by not picking up the Viper or the longer Python.  I shot just about every bow made in my search and I would have to say it's the smoothest shooter out there.

I've heard some people say they're gimicky...I don't think they'd say that if they picked one up.  I really liked the handle and limb hook, don't really care about the broadhead wrench and sharpener though.
