Great flush and retrieve!
« on: November 09, 2013, 07:26:42 PM »
Another proud Papa moment watching my pup flush and retrieve his first Rooster! He has retrieved some of my other dogs flushed birds earlier in the season but this guy was all his! He would of had one earlier if somebudy didn't miss :dunno: but I didn't let him down today. It was a released bird so we got a little jewelry for my whistle! :)

He looks like a fine lab, you should have many good years ahead in the field with him

Nice looking dog, I like that he's not one of those huge ones people seem to like these days.

Gotta love that! Nice job of getting pictures. My current dogs first wild bird was pointed and shot over the Okanogan river, was his first water retrieve as well . I was so excited, I can replay it in my mind but I did not take a single picture  :bash:  :bash:. I did not even think about it until much later  :chuckle:.

That's funny.  My roomate in college had a lab that would not pick up a pheasant, too many loose feathers I guess.  Ducks he had no problem with so one day we tossed a pheasant into a pond by the trucks, he retrieved it and retrieved them off land afterwards.
