2013 Trip 2 Cali: Hog's with huntwa members
« on: November 10, 2013, 08:10:42 PM »
What a great trip. I was lucky enough to get to share camp with Scott "Hunter Dug" and Chris "elkoholic". Had a smooth trip down. Scott and Chris were able to smack there hog with archery gear :IBCOOL: These hogs are not easy to kill with a bow so a big congrats to them. The next day we were able to spend time together hunting. Both of them got to be apart of my hunt and watch me shoot my boar. I pack a rifle even though I love to bow hunt. The big ones and not easy to kill and very hard to find. This trip I was not able to find a tusker, so I was able to take a nice mid sized boar. Got to build some confidence with the new 300wsm. All in all a great trip and was happy to share a camp fire with more hunting Washington members. Here are some pictures of there hogs. I am working on trying to upload a video of my hunt. My outfitter was able to get it on film and I recorded it with my phone off his camera. Nice tko kill shot. Hope you all enjoy and some of you can join me on my future trips.

Thanks Carp, I had a great time down there. I was going in not knowing what to expect on the hunt and am very happy with the Hog I killed, I was looking for a good quality eating pig and thats exactly what I brought home. lots of pigs , great camp and good people. would I recommend this hunt to my friends and family? Hell Yes!!!

A hunt based only on trophies taken falls far short of what the ultimate goal should be, time to commune with your inner soul as you share the outdoors with the birds, the animals, and fish that live there”.- Fred bear
