Free: Contests & Raffles.
Hi folks, first post on this board as I am a new member. My dad (65) and myself (41) drew toutle cow tags for next Mondays opener. Not looking for any secrets as we have scouted the North end pretty well. Just wanted to see how the modern firearm bull tag holders have done that are just finishing up? Getting excited, havent got a cow since the last one in my profile pic from Yale back in 2006.
Congrats on the tag, you drew it about 10 yrs too late though. There are still elk there, many of which have hoof rot. Hopefully you can fill your tag on a healthy cow.

Thanks lostbackpacker, I was counting the camp arrival date. Yeah looking for one that doesn't limp....preferably right off the road.

Smells nasty! I wouldn't eat it if somebody paid me. Not all of them have it, but I'd say 75% of the elk I've seen in the toutle unit have it.
