Should be fun, always exciting to try new areas, especially when there's only 15 other tags...

Went elk hunting up there last weekend and saw some monster mulies chasing does. We were by the Chiliwist butte area. We drove up the Chiliwist road just south of malott. There is an access road up to Chiliwist butte. About 1/2 way up is awesome deer country. Tons of them running at daylight.

Click on map search.  This is the Okanogan county assessors website. Zoom in and click on a parcel of land and it tells you if public or private. I like to open this page and compare to Google Earth.

Okay if there is not a thread with pictures in 48 hours, I'm going to lose it.

Doing a Chiliwist tag justice isn't like doing a Palouse tag justice.

We want pictures!

Im back, had a good hunt. Had some great help from some awesome guys on here, you all know who you are. Really not much of a story. I had been hunting a good buck with my 16 year old son Kasey and was driving to a different location to check on another buck when mine came across the road in front of me...he went one way and his doe the other, he made the fatal mistake of stopping to look for them. ooops!

Thanks Bone, it definitely was weird to say the least. Felt kinda bad that my sons were just along for ride, so wasn't as picky as normal. Ended up the last 3 days up north hunting with them. Had some close calls but couldn't get them a shot.
