The walk thru course at Silver Arrow is awesome and it is just down the hill from the house.  Silver Arrow and the range at kenmore have the best walk thru's. imo

I love it because its on my way home from work... easy to shoot one of the 15 target loops and head home, or play around on the flat range some.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

The Club is preparing for the 4/12-4/13 WSAA Safari Shoot.
A Safari Shoot it a paper target shoot with marked yardages. The bulls eye is marked with an orange dot of varing size depending on the distance. This is the first time Silver Arrow will be holding the State Safari shoot. Until recently our course would not accomodate the safari shoot because there are specific yardages  that must be shot in a group. there are 2 groups of targets the feild target, your more standard looking bullsey target, and the animal targets. Here is a basic explanation of the shoot.

That shoot was a lot of fun

I agree.  My son and I had a good time.  Saw a guy blow up(hit one of the two trees) an arrow on that standing bear target!!
you mean this tree?

Silver Arrow Hosted the WSAA Safari Field shoot this last weekend. We had 168 shooters! Parking was tight but many had a great time. This was the first time Silver Arrow has held the Safari in memory. This was a fantastic turn out and great practice for Redding in CA. I know those who set up the course tried to make this as close a warm up for that shoot as possible.

I have also heard the rumor that We MAY be hosting the WSAA Field shoot. Darrington Archers were scheduled to host the event, however given the Slide at OSO It may be Moved to SAB... Keep tuned for more info.

Had a pretty good turn out this weekend
Lots of arrows were given to the archery gods with the 3 steel target challenge shots on. The course. I shot with Drock425, Dinker, & Addicted2hunting. I had a great time, unfortuantly the steel bear got the best of me and it took 4 shots for me to hit the center.  I hope you come check out the club mid week some time.

The bobcat was a pretty trick shot. You had to shoot under the moose to make the shot and it was set back about 5 additional yards. It made it really hard to judge. There was also a 101 yard shot at a bison, and a sweet challenge shot with a looong downhill slope@ bigfoot.

This was one of our"trick" shot on the course for summerfest this year. You scored on the paper but had to shoot tje ce ter of the bear that was in front of it a few yards. I gave up an arrow to the archery gods on this shot. There is a tricl to being sucessful on it.
