Just got my 2012 Buck back!
« on: February 11, 2014, 10:03:21 PM »
Pretty pumped. I stuck this deer on the early archery hunt in 2012. I saw him the day before in all velvet but couldn't get close enough. Then the next evening got him right before dark with no velvet at all. (hence the lighter color antlers) I wouldn't normally mount a deer like this but it was my first archery deer and my first drop-tine buck.

Nice buck! There's no need to explain why you had an animal mounted as each and every one of them holds a special memory for the hunter. They're all trophies in my mind.

Great buck, great mount!  I would have mounted it, especially with archery!
