The only one I can speak of is Asotin Wingshooters. Hunted there a couple years ago and had a blast. the guide was very patient with us since we had never hunted pheasant before. I came away with 3 birds. I can't remember the exact cost but they also have a website.

I just went to Cooke Canyon out of Ellensburg, had a great time. Birds flew great, shooter didn't shoot straight but they were willing to the make the hunt whatever I wanted it to be, I'll be going back for sure.

Spokane area, I've been to several, they're all good in their own way. You heard about Millers, Double Barrel is handy to town, Burlington Ranch, a cool experience, Squaw Canyon, a bit of a drive (have breakfast in Spangle) but wildish birds in a varied setting, several alternatives in the Endicott/LaCrosse area. Frankly, I don't think you can mess up. All the folks I've met have been great, very accomodating of varied experience of hunters and dogs. Their business is ensuring you have a good time, and they do.

+1 on Cooke Canyon. Great people, well run operation. I've been a member for several years now. Used to hunt at Claude's place Reecer Creek. He was trying to sell out last time I talked to him a couple of years ago, don't know if he's still in operation. Both places are east of Ellensburg.
Hate to say it but Cooke Canyon is better tho....Jeff

Cooke Canyon is nice and close to the westside and provides a nice hunt. Doug and Alice are both very gracious, Ameneties are great with a good lunch going at the clubhouse most days. I hear Miller is also very good. Asotin is another that is highly touted but a bit more of a drive for me.

Squaw Canyon, a good buddy of mine owns it. He has great birds and habitat for hunting. It is located in Rosalia. He also has a couple of pretty good dogs.

Went to Cooke Canyon this morning for the first time. My buddy and I bought 7 hen pheasant for $150 (split between the two of us) and hunted my 11 yr old lab. We had gone to Moses Lake to look at a duck boat (didn't pan out) so we decided not to waste the trip and give Cooke Canyon a try, since I have my wife and two of our 3 boys bird hunting this year. Even though we bought 7 hens, we were allowed to take 7 birds (roosters, hens or chukar) whatever we busted up.
After about 2 1/2 hrs, we had flushed 7 hens and 4 roosters. We ended up taking 3 roosters and 4 hens. All in all, my old lab got to hunt his favorite birds (he told me they're his favorite
), get some great excercise and we had a blast! Obviously not 'real hunting', but since I've been busy trying to get my kids and wife onto the birds, this was the first shoot all season I've got to enjoy. Money well spent. I'm bring the family back in a few weeks when we head to Grand Coulee for Thanksgiving. Then I'll take 'em out 'real hunting' in Grand Coulee for wild birds and show 'em the difference.

gosh, just go ask a farmer who has some stubble fields if you can hunt. It's a lot cheaper and they won't be pen raised birds!

pretty tough to beat ron at the double barrle ranch. he gave up a thriving business to do what he loves, and that is hunt birds. he can cook like nobodys business too. I would know I bummed many a meals off him when I was a kid
thanks ron.
