I agree. Once you get the bug, it's hard to stop. I get a new bow every couple years.

I will be looking for a Bow after the Holiday season is over. I will take the PSE off your hands, just let me know.  :chuckle: I just bought my son a 20 gauge pump so the funds are set back to zero.

Do yourself a favor and shoot the new 2014 alien and nemesis. Martin has made some minor changes and both these bow should be shooters.  Not only that you can walk out with a new sight, rest and stabilizer and still have money left over.

...and a bow that shoots just as good.  :twocents:

Martin has not stayed with the pack. You will get what you pay for . Be carefull. In my opinion Minor changes are not enough. Guaranteed the Hoyt Carbon element,Matrix or Carbon spider will spoil you.

When was the last time you shot one?  What was wrong with it?

My 2013 nemesis 35 shot a 540 grain arrow at 280 FPS (not bad with a 7" BH). The draw is smooth (never had a problem with any other brands draw cycle either). The bow is as quiet as any other bow out there.  The most important thing is it shoots where it is aimed (same exact hole repeatedly out of a mechanical shooter).

They have had some problems in the past with limbs and fit/finish.  My 2012 and 2013 models have had zero issues.  Last year my only complaint was the short solid roller guard that created too much cam lean. Martin has listened and went back to the slider and relocated it.

The big issue is that Martin doesn't spend enough money on advertisement to have you think they are as good as the others.   :twocents:  If I didn't trust that a certain bow would perform I wouldn't shoot it or recommend it.

The top two in my opinion are Hoyt and Mathews.  Others that might be good are PSE and Bowtech.  I would look at a couple of bow shops in your area and shoot a few to get a better idea of what you like.  You will see on your own what makes a good bow.  You truly get what you pay for.

I wish I had the money for the PSE Sportsman's Warehouse has on sale. 2013 PSEs for $299. My son almost didn't get his 20 Gauge for Christmas.  :chuckle:

I have shot for Martin,PSE,Mathews and hoyt. Not a shop shooter!! Martins shoot ok. They have not been the most forgiving. It all depends on what your expectations are and the quality of shooter you are. I am pickier than most. As far as hunting bows go most major manufacturers bows will work for the average shooter. Every manufacturer has had problems of some kind over the years. Martin not only does not spend enough money on advertising but quality and finish. MY OPINION. You do not see many if any Martin bows making the cut at any world class events. Target is more precice and requires a different level of consistancy than bow hunting. Like I said most manufactures make an pretty good hunting set up for the average guy. It is all about expectations. Do you want to hit a paper plate or a 1/2" dot.
