Did you see the story?   Surely we told you it was coming out.  If you don't subscribe. Go get it.  A good read from an area close to your hunt.

No and No.
That's why I'm asking the question.
I stopped by Cabela's and they didn't have it.
Just curious if I know the one brother.

You do know the brother and if you look close at the 8 mules in the string picture you might know some of them.  Sorry I thought you were being smart when you asked the question.  I hope you find an issue, Sportsman's carries the mag also.

Just got home from Montana deer hunt and read the article my brother wrote(or should I say Eastman's rewrote!) Its a good read no doubt but they defenitely chopped it up to their liking and to say the least we are dissapointed. Of course for us its like reading a good book and then watching the movie its never the same , but they really left out some stuff that to hunters made the story. They cut out one of the biggest moments that made the hunt,  Jeff passing up a 340 7x7 at 20 yards the night before he kills his giant. There were lots of things we were dissapointed to not see in word and pictures. As hunters we know that that type of hunt is a group effort and that was a big part of the story , not just me as a caller but Emmett my brother in law and our long time hunting partner who came along to film. They cut out everything about him pretty much and no group kill photo. To those who didnt know the real story it will be a good read but for those of us who lived it, its a bit of a dissapointment.I understand they have to limit length and pics but when your magazine is a 1/4 inch thick you could stand to add a few pages!  I will always request to see the final cut of any story I send in to a magazine from now on to be sure this doesnt happen again. Honestly Jeff was torn on who to send his story to but went with Eastmans mostly because thats who printed my story in 2007 and we thought it would be a cool part of the story but his gut feeling to go with Extreme Elk may have been the way to go! nwhunter
