Critter Hunting Around the Tri-Cities
« on: November 03, 2013, 08:00:57 AM »
I'm new to the board because, well, I just found it. I grew up hunting the Columbia Basin but moved to the wet-side about 14 years ago. I got out of hunting for a while to raise young kids. The kids aren't so young and my son finished Hunter's Safety this year. Time to get back at it. I will be heading back to Richland to visit family next weekend and was hoping someone could point me in a good direction for rabbits (I will also push a message on the upland page). We used to hunt along the Yakima River and hike the railroad tracks along the Snake above Charbonneau. I know the area along the Yakima is now a county park, but I can't tell if the Snake area is still open. Anyone willing to recommend other areas? It looks like a lot of areas have closed rabbit hunting because of the pygmy rabbit issue. Thanks for the help!
