Late General Season, Black-tailed Deer in GMU 454 (Issaquaha)

How does it work?

Bring your tape measure so you're not within 150ft of any dwellings?

Is there any public land?

Maybe I could go to Soaring Eagle, and try not to shoot a hiker.

I suppose there's the Grand Ridge trail, but watch out for the Mt. Bikers.

I'd look styling in the Issaquah Alps in hunter orange packing my 6.8mmAR... not to mention dragging a deer out to the tail head.

Why even have an opening here?

Please advise.

You could fit the state of Rhode Island in the public land available in 454.

Start doing homework, tons of info but you have to do some research.

Well, Taylor Mt is a good place to start but last I heard - there was 11 trucks parked at the gate.  :bash:
Don't worry though - on the other side of Hywy 18 - there are far more vehicles in the parking lot. The city folk all stink of dryer sheets and cheap soap  :puke: so it isn't too hard to smell them before you see them.
And yes - this unit requires homework. Don't waste valuable hunting days. Hunt elsewhere till you do your homework.

We use to hunt the Taylor River area and always seemed to pick up a couple of bucks.  Of course that was 25 years ago.  :chuckle:
