2013 Blue Mountains Foothills West Whitetail
« on: November 18, 2013, 11:20:34 AM »
After 6 years of putting in for this tag my dad finally got drawn this year.  We decided that we would hunt the last weekend in hopes that the bucks might be into the rut full swing.  He got to enjoy the hunt with his two grandson's that are 7 & 8.  After a short hunt mid morning on Friday my son spotted this buck chasing a doe up a small draw.  We were able to get set up on him and dad made about a 150 yard shot on him with his .280, the buck went down and never got back up.  My dad was so glad to get to share this memorable hunt with both of his grandson's, and to  harvest a nice whitetail buck.   Needless to say we have two young boys that are hooked and can't wait to get to go again.

Congrats to your dad. That's a great buck and even better that the kids got to be a part of it.

Good job, short hunt for sure.   Josh, that is the guy I was telling you about.  Those boys looked to enjoy the trip.

Now that is awesome!
