Deep breath.......

That one stung a little.

What an old geezer.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Wow, what a buck!  He definitely left it all out there...including his main beams!

Always makes you wonder who won or lost what battle.   Yesterday, I found one casualty of the rut I presume.   His antlers were all busted up.  I mean it could have been wolves, poachers, missed recovery from modern, :dunno: , but his antlers were freshly broken :dunno:   If it would be legal I would have brought him home, but its not so go squirrels.

I didn't.  I saw eagles and that usually means death.   Went and looked but didn't pack camera in the rain.

There's a guy with a clear understanding of what his sole purpose in life is!
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

He'd have to smack something pretty hard to break those beams  :yike:

Think about how many fights this old guy has been in.  Wonder if there is any research that gives an average for a mature whitetail buck in rut.  This guy was around during G. HW Bush.  Awesome!
