Received the tag and permit today.
So that's what a moose tag looks like. I've never seen one before. I've heard about them but after 13 years......just thought moose tags were a myth.
I feel for you guys with more points. The way I see it, You can only not draw if you don't put in......from there, it's all a crapshoot.
I'll be heading up where I spend some time elk hunting, at the high areas. I see good moose up there in November. Probably why I don't see elk
There are some open areas but it is awfully think too. I'll set trailcams labor day and won't be back in till it's time to hunt elk. That is a little stressful but it's the good kind. I'm saving vacation time to max opportunity. I now have a tag, I have a new Marlin 45-70, I know the area well, I know there are moose and I have 30 days for once in a lifetime. I'm not to proud to ask for a little luck as well.
Deer and elk will be open that month as well. This otta be good.
