New puppy
« on: December 14, 2013, 08:21:58 PM »
Well I broke down and bought a puppy this afternoon. 8 week old Yellow lab.

So any books or tips on training to be a duck dog would be appreciated.

Also at what age do you start?

I like this old feature in Gun Dog for a good general schedule....keeping in mind that all dogs learn at different paces of course. Emphasis on general schedule.

Thanks. That's a great site. I'm looking forward to working her, and getting her hunting.

Great looking pup.  I don't get mine for four more weeks.  :bash:  The anticipation is killing me.
Hunt hard and shoot straight!
