If you think its just because of posting a pic your not seeing the big picture. Look in the backcountry section really good pics no locations of where it was shot and people get blown up for posting pics of other people areas.

I kind of scanned through this thread.  Nice buck.

Did this thread really go south because a couple guys think the picture and saying which GMU it was taken in is going to cause some mass migration of hunters?

Funny, not a single derogatory location remark in my Chiwawa buck thread, with Chiwawa in the title.
Must be a Klickitat thing....  :chuckle:

Nice buck, congrats!!!!  :)

Got this BIG 4×5 Klickitat buck Monday evening just before dark with grandpas old Remington model 721 30.06. Saw another dandy 5×6  and a couple smaller bucks get taken out as well. Anybody else get a klickitat buck? Post' em up.
You have a nice buck there. All the guys who posted about posting their unit and are upset are in need of some testosterone.Grumpy old men syndrome of something.I hunt the methow, okanogan and was upset by the Hunting and Fishing news when they featured my unit(Gardner) one year.I expected it would be flooded with hunters.Ya know what?It wasn't any different than any other year.Lots of road drivers til it snowed 4' and the Twisp River road was closed for 5 days.I only found out it had been closed when I came down with my 4x4 buck.Seems mother nature will send the packs packing.I hunted it again this year for 3 days up 3k ft and in 1 mile and sat on a bench and got a nice 6x6 buck. The evening before I got my buck, had a lone hunter cross our bench. He was  a local and said we were  the only hunters he had ever seen up there as most wouldn't climb and stand the steepness. We sat on that bench for 3 days and seen few deer but the one we got was worth it.I did see a buck at 400 yrds the first day but the timber was so thick it was only a few seconds and he had continued up the mountain. My guess is that you have been beat up enough to not post here again but don't even worry about the few sore heads as they won't be around to help you dress and drag that buck out.I'd only worry about keeping your hunting buddies happy. They might not be thrilled about you spilling too much as they think bucks don't have legs.Think about it:A buck can cover 20 miles in as many hours in steep terrain and hes looking for love.Just find yourself a game highway thats well away from people's highway and know they are going to come.Pick a spot with cover behind you, just don't move and take your best shot when the time comes.pcal

Nice Buck. I am going up to 382 on sat in hopes of getting a nice buck. as a kid my dad hunted this area alot and has bagged some monster bucks out of there. the only issue is just finding those little slivers of public land that you can hunt. i went up early season and saw probably 15 bucks within a 5hr period so i am hoping i might have the same luck just with the shot opportunity. if not at least i will get out and enjoy the great outdoors!

Congrats on a great buck. Who cares where it comes from.
As for the locals, it must be only a few that hate wet siders. I hunt there every year during archery seasons 27yrs and I've taken some great bucks. I have had great success obtaining permission to hunt private lands. Most locals between goldendale and bickleton I feel are open to letting people hunt if your kind and respectful to them about hunting their land.
As for taking pictures, who cares if there's a recognizable land mark in the back ground. you or I are not the only ones that know where it is.
