LOL!!! That same thing happen to me in North Carolina. The buck was down, I walked over and put one right behind the shoulder at point blank. Then I walked back and gathered my backpack and things. When I returned to the deer I poked him with the barrel and he sprung up and was on the move.

that deer was shot in the neck ...obviously he hit it in the juggler and did not break its neck .

I had seen it before....So, I decided to cue it up for the wife and kids. I turned the volume up real loud and stood back to watch. I am pretty sure my son about crapped his pants.
BAD DADDY!!
On another note...I once was hold on to a nice 4 points antlers when it stood up. Talk about soiling your pants. I ran and screamed like a girl.
