Lee Loader

I'm looking to start cheep. For those of you guys who have used a Lee Loader how about your opinion?

They work but there are other brands I like better.
R.C.B.S. stuff is lifetime warranted even if bought used they are a better deal.
Look on E-Bay you can get some good deals but you have to know you prices.

What are you wanting to reload? Rifle, pistol, or shotgun? How cheap is cheap?

I own a Lee.  It may not be the best but it does everything that I need it to.  I have no reason to upgrade.

I have had my Lee Turret press since 1974 and I like it a lot.  I use to own a RCBS, got rid of that because you have to set your dies up at each stage of reloading.  With the Lee Turret press you set all the dies in the turret one time and you will never have to adjust them again that goes for rifles and pistols.  When you want to change calibers just pull the turret out and stick in the new one, change the case seat and you're ready to load for the new caliber.  It take about 5 seconds.

When I was in my 20's through my early 30's I shot 1-2 thousand pistol rounds a month.  I still use the same Lee press and dies today.

Are you talking the really cheap little handloader kits or are you talking presses?  The Lee Classic Press is a very good press.... a great value for the money.  Wouldn't hesitate using one for 1 second.

are you refering to the kit used with a hammer? if so, I loaded lots of rounds with them. I also stuck the bolt on my 300 wby they are ok for making a round, but I will never in my life rely on a powder scoop for measureing again. I have since used my rcbs for the last 15 years.

You may get more bang for the buck looking for used stuff at pawn shops, craig's list, etc.  A used Rockchucker or better quality press will likely serve you better over the long haul.  I've seen some pretty good deals on dies and presses before.

I agree Lee Anniversary Kit I got one just to load 45-70 I now load .223, 22-250, .308, 30-06, 300WM, 9.3X62 and 45-70. Up grade later, I'm looking at a Lyman T-Mag.
