Collared elk
« on: November 29, 2013, 11:05:53 PM »
Got a few pics of a cow elk with a tracking collar. Thought it was unusual, anyone else have pics of collared animals?

Collard whitetail doe with ear tags.
If we were supposed to be vegetarian God would have made broccoli more fun to shoot!
"HOYT" why would you even consider shooting something else?

Yes you can shoot them. WDFW asks that you contact them so they can close out the records on that particular animal and collect the collar from you.

As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

yes you can but just something to think about here because I shot a bear with one a few years back.  If it was collard in the last 60 days they tell you not to eat it at least they did me with the bear.  Just something to think about I would hate to kill an elk and not be able to eat it.  It would be a complete waste.

is that because of the drugs used when the tranquilize the animal?
It is what you meant it to be...
